3. Information We Collect About You
We collect only the data necessary to provide and improve our Service:
- Identity and Contact Data: Your name and email address, as provided by Google during sign-in.
- Email Data (Processed Temporarily): When you connect your Gmail account, we access (with your explicit permission via OAuth) the metadata (sender, subject, date) and body content of your new, unread emails from the last 24 hours. This data is used *only* at the moment you generate a report.
- Service Usage Data: Anonymized information about feature use, such as the number of reports generated and emails processed, to help us improve the service.
- Technical Data: Standard web server logs including your IP address, browser type, and operating system for security and debugging purposes.
4. Google API Services Disclosure
Prebox.ai's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Specifically, we use the following restricted scope:

.../auth/gmail.modify: We use this single permission to enable two core, user-facing features:- Read your emails: This is required to access the content of new emails to generate your AI summary report.
- Modify your emails: This is required to move an email to the trash when you click the "Delete" button within your report.
5. Data Sharing and AI Processing
To generate summaries, the content of your new emails is securely transmitted to Google's Gemini Large Language Models (LLMs).
- Purpose Limitation: This data is sent to the AI model solely for the purpose of generating the summaries displayed to you.
- No Model Training: Your data is not used to train Google's AI models.
- Data Security: We use secure (HTTPS) connections for all data transmission.
6. Data Retention & Deletion
We are committed to data minimization.
- Report Data: All generated reports, including summaries and associated metadata, are **automatically and permanently deleted after 72 hours.**
- Account Information: We retain your basic account information (name, email) for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from the settings page, which will permanently erase your account and all associated data.
7. Your Legal Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You can delete your entire account and all associated data at any time from your account settings page. For other requests, please contact us at support@prebox.ai.
